Ok, you all know, I'm a Purex Insider. That means every so often I get products from Purex to try before they hit the market. This latest one caught me by suprise to say the least. It's the same, great quality Purex that I've been using for a while. What makes it different though is the scent. It smells like fresh baked cookies. Yes, that's right, fresh baked cookies. The scent is mild, not over powering. I'll admit, I'm wondering if I will gain weight or start to bake more though if I'm wearing clothes that smell like cookies. I know when I use my scented wax burner that smells like cookies, I'm inspired to bake. I also wonder if I will attract animals with the scent. The kids think it's fun to smell like cookies. Hubby just thinks it's odd. I'm not exactly sure when this will hit the market, but you will have to check it out for yourself!

I have two daughters; school is just around the corner. The girls are entering first and third grade. Each one has their own unique style. Taylor tends to be sportier, she will wear skorts, skirts and dresses but they are guaranteed to get dirty. Emma, the younger of the two loves her dresses and is a total girly girl.
Taylor likes for me to give her choices the night before she goes to school Emma likes to pick her own clothes. Taylor is always matching because I help her. Emma on the other hand, looks like a six year old picking out her own clothes.
With Taylor, I take her shopping so she can choose and approve her clothes. I made the mistake of purchasing her a shirt that she refused to wear more than one time. It was a Bart Simpson shirt, I loved it. I have a feeling some kid said something to her and then she never wanted to wear it again.
Emma, I have learned, to find mix-and-match styles. Many stores carry shorts/pants that match with multiple shirts. This works out great other than when Emma puts a pink stripe with a pink floral because in her mind they are both pink, thus they match.
Taylor’s hair is always in a head band. I started putting them in her hair in first grade when we decided to let her bangs grow out. Once in a while she will let me put her hair in a pony tail. The poor kid has her mother’s (mine) hair. It’s thick and brown, it’s a nightmare to brush.
Emma’s hair is the hair that I always dreamed of. She has straight as a board thin blonde hair. It has the natural high and low lights that women spend tons of money at a salon to have. If I didn’t love it on her so much, I would be tempted to cut it off and make a wig for myself, lol.
Shoes are the bane of my existence during the school year!!! My goal for this year to keep track of shoes better! Taylor just wants plain tennis shoes for every day. Emma however, wants different shoes for each day of the week.
All of this being said, I am looking forward to back to school shopping for both of the girls! I always loved getting new outfits before school started and love the tradition of taking them shopping to pick out that first day outfit!

I've been a Sam's Club Member for years now. My husband owns a business (Taboo Customs - check it out by clicking here) I was recently on Sam's Club Facebook Page, while under discussions there was a woman who asked for honest reviews about Sam's Club memberships. Being the honest person I am, here is what transpired:
Jen Bell
I've had a business membership for years. I've seen the good & bad. I've had "the cake from hell" expierence three different times with my one store.
1) My daughter's carebear rainbow cupcake cake was not a rainbow, they put it in too small of a box and it turned into a gay pride cake. (We were not offended, just mad they were too lazy to find the right size box.
2)Special ordered a cake, it was so bad I left it at the club and bought another cake elsewhere.
3)I went to get "stock" cupcakes for my class but all they had were swords and plain. They refused to put picks into the plain ones.
The bakery sucks, just avoid special orders. Period.
The good is the money you save, or the convience of buying items in bulk.
Sam's Club
We are sorry about your bakery experiences, Jen. Please let us know which Club you shop with so we can forward your feedback to Club Management.
Jen Bell
I've talked to club management and they do nothing. They seem to accept the poor quality of service they provide. It needs to be sent above the store level. It's sad because it would be a great value. I am now to the point of paying more for fewer cupcakes at another local store's bakery because the service is worth it to me. I would gladly discuss this with someone above the store level. This is regarding the Quincy, IL store.
Sam's Club
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns with us. We will forward this to the appropriate people.
Sam's Club
Jen, we are very sorry about your experience. A Sam's Club representative will be contacting you via private message.
Jen Bell
Thank you verry much. The store manager called today and made me a wondeful offer.
So what was the wonderful offer you wonder? The manager gave me another full year of membership free! So instead of expiring October 2011, my membership was set to expire October 2012.
Sam's Club then had a "tip jar" contest where business owners could put "tips" into a virtual jar. Not monetary tips, but helpful customer service tips. I'll be darned I won on of the prizes. I won a free Plus Membership upgrade and extenstion. I was a one year extension, sorta. I figured since I already had the extra year on the account they would just upgrade my membership until it expired.
WELL............I logged onto my Sam's Club app on my my iPhone today, and I now have a Business Plus membership until June 2013 (I guess one year that I won but since I already had a 2012 date, they put it to June 2013?) What ever, I'm not complaining. I now have what it valued at $200 in membership fees for free at Sams Club.
Just goes to show, be honest, sometimes people listen. ![]()

it is with great sadness that I post this. I have LOVED Oreo cookies since being a small child. There is nothing like dunking the cookie in milk and enjoying the moist chocolatly heaven. I was at the store over the weekend and I saw what looked like a great product. Berry Burst IceCream Oreo's. I would suggest skipping these. Stick with the original, double stuffed, or golden flavors. The Berry Burst reminds me of Tums medicine. The strawberry flavor is too rich and artificial tasting. I purchased the cookies on sale with a coupon, still paying $1.50 for them. Even the kids who have aweful palates, do not care for these cookies. I've sent an email to Oreo suggesting they return to the lab and try to rework the flavor. It sounded like heaven on the next level. I will update if I recieve any response from Oreo.

Pair Savvy is a user-friendly application that works on both iPhone and Android devices and allows users to search by cheese, wine or beer varieties based on personal preference. California cheesemakers make more than 250 varieties and styles of Real California Cheese, everything from bandage wrapped Cheddar to award-winning Brie.
Here’s how it works:
Download Pair Savvy to your mobile device and you can select by cheese, wine or beer. If you don't have a compatible mobile device, users can still use the Pair Savvy site to find savvy pairings.
Pair Savvy will come up with a pairing that has a list of suggested cheeses, California cheesemakers and brand names they can purchase at retail. So cool!
Some pairings even suggest fruit accompaniments, which is great when putting together a cheese plate or display. Users can also save pairings and rate the pairings they have tried. There’s even a “Surprise Pairing” option for the more daring at heart.
This fun app is available for free download, just in time for holiday events. A beautiful, perfectly paired selection of cheeses and beverages will make you the most celebrated host or hostess and the favorite guest at every party you attend.
Real California Cheese Pair Savvy is available today to most smart phone users through their mobile browser: pairsavvy.realcaliforniamilk.com
For the iPhone: Visit the App Store, search for “Pair Savvy” then download for free (available soon).
For Android users: Visit the Android Marketplace, search for “Pair Savvy” then download for free.
Better yet, Pair Savvy is linked to RealCaliforniaMilk.com so the app will update automatically with no need to download future updated versions.
Dairy products – including cheese – made with California milk can be identified by the Real California Milk and Real California Cheese seal, which certifies that the products are made exclusively with milk produced on California dairy farms. Ninety-nine percent of California dairy farms are family-owned. California produces more fluid milk, butter, ice cream, yogurt and nonfat dry milk than any other state. The state is the second-largest producer of cheese, which is available nationally under the Real California Cheese seal.

As the new year approaches I want to stay organized in 2011. It's hard work being a mom, wife, and student!
About one helps stay organized. You can store important documents, Dr information, and school information all in one place.
I find myself needing something and then having to go on a hunt. Are the kids physicals in the safe or school boxes? Well, no longer do I have to go digging. I can scan the physical, upload, and store it on about one. The next time I need it, I can log in and print or view the document.
This is a great system to help your house stay organized!

If you're into "rock chick" this album is for you! Reminds me of what I would listen to in high school (this is a goo thing)
Sounds of Tiger Suit
If you aren't familiar with KT's music, you definitely remember one of her previous hit songs - the Grammy-nominated "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree," "Suddenly I See," Other Side of the World" or "Hold On".
Tiger Suit heralds the beginning of a new musical adventure for KT. Organic instrumentation is blended with dance-friendly textures, the results of which she has dubbed “Nature Techno” to encapsulate the album’s collision of raw, upfront rootsiness and sleek electronic textures.
The album's rollicking first single, “Fade Like A Shadow" is available at digital retailers now and is already at Top 20 hit at radio.
